You know that thing that you've always wanted to do? Go and do it! Summer has presented itself which means 2014 is well into its second half. Yep, another year is fast approaching its end and life reminds us that time waits for no man.

With that said, I'm dedicating the second half of this year doing all the things I REALLY want to do and put a stop to all the things that honestly bring no profound positive/rewarding impact for me as an individual. Relax, I'm not encouraging you to quit your full-time job, I'm encouraging you to try something new, something you've always wanted to do but never got around to.

Ask yourself, when was the last time you did something for the first time?

WHITE OUT

Elizabeth wears:

BLAZER: Project Ready-To-Wear TWEED SHORTS: Meowchic
NECKLACE: Saint Peter Store HEELS: Nine West

There's no easier way to transition your wardrobe into spring/summer than with one simple staple: the white blazer. It's an instant fixer-uper that's guaranteed to lift any look. What's great about the white blazer is that it goes with any print/color-scheme. Nuetrals, florals, denim, pastels, you name it. I chose to go all white because white on white screams spring chic to me. High waisted shorts and a simple white tee is not too fussy and ideal for Jakarta's scorching weather.

It's funny because there was a very extensive phase where Maria and I would limit ourselves to dark shades (blacks, greys, maroons). Ask any of our close friends, and they'll confirm that roughly 99.9% of our wardrobe once consisted mainly of black and more black. And although we still love the occasional LBD, our tastes have graduated to lighter, brighter, less depressing colors. So take a spin on a classic sartorial piece and trade in your black blazer for a white one!

One Week With the NX Mini

For those of you who don’t already know, I (Elizabeth) have been working as a fashion marketing coordinator at Indonesia’s largest retail company. For reasons I won’t get into right now, I made the difficult decision to resign from my position and last Friday was my official last day (Shocker! Insert sad face here). As I prepared to close one chapter of my life and move on to another, I thought, what better way to document these last profound moments at the office than with the NX Mini?

The NX Mini is the newest addition to the Samsung family, a camera so stylishly convenient for the selfie-obsessed. And although I wouldn’t normally call myself one, I most definitely selfied up a storm during my last two days at the office (please don’t judge me)!

This camera has so many features I almost don’t know where to start. It comes with built-in-WIFI where you can directly transfer the photos to smartphones via the Samsung Smart Camera app. It has a “Beauty Face” feature turned on by default (all you Camera 360 users definitely know what I’m talking about). It’s also ultra slim and has outstanding optics. But the most unique feature has to be its 3-inch touch screens that FLIPS 180 degrees making it the ultimate selfie machine. On top of that, it has THREE ways to activate the selfie: Normal mode (press shutter and wait for a 3-second timer to countdown), Smile Shot (make a big, cheesy smile and shutter will run off automatically), and Wink Shot (wink and a 3-second timer will go off). How cool is that?

As you can see from the photos below, I was determined to take selfies with all my amazing colleagues before I conducted my last hurrah.  All laughs aside, it was an emotional day filled with overwhelming sadness, because whether or not we like to admit it, no one likes goodbyes. If you look past the smiles, you can see a slight twinge of heartbreak in my eyes. With that said, I’m glad the NX Mini was there to help me capture those very moments I’ll never forget.
