L HOTEL SEMINYAK

Big things come in small packages. This saying is especially true for the L Hotel Seminyak. From afar, it may look like a compact boutique hotel, but once you step inside, you quickly realize that there is so much more than meets the eye.

Architecturally designed by Popo Danes, one of Bali's leading architects, L Hotel Seminyak sweeps you off your feet with it's sophisticated layout. The hotel is decorated with a modern flare yet stays true to its Balinese roots which are evident in the details throughout the establishment. Strategically located in Seminyak, one of Bali's prime areas,  the hotel has been the winner of various awards, including Indonesia's leading romantic hotel and favorite resort hotel which was voted by travel agents.

Rooms are divided into three categories: Lifestyle Suites, Legian Suites and Luxe Suites. We stayed in a gorgeous Luxe Suite which was perfect for two! We were told this particular suite is very popular with couples because it boasts an open concept-bathroom and a deluxe bathtub, which by the way has a proximity of only half a meter from the bed! Furthermore, the room itself is lushly decorated in a clean and highly sophisticated aesthetic which we loved. We now knew why L Hotels Seminyak was voted as most romantic. Our room also came with some amazing perks, which included a 24 hour butler service, 24 hour shuttle service around Seminyak, and get this, complete amenities all from Kiehl's!

This whole trip would not have been possible if it weren't for Bobo Lotto - a series of lottery cards from  Bobobobo that provide special discounts from everything from food, to retail, to hotels and travel. The one we received gave us a discount to stay at the L Hotel Seminyak, and of course we obliged. Bobobobo's travel category is easy and convenient to use, so check out their website for more details on how you can plan your next staycation or holiday!

E! NEWS ASIA: DVF AT SINGAPORE FASHION WEEK 2015

We have been watching E! News for quite a long time and have been idolizing E! hosts such as Giuliana Rancic (when she was still a DePandi and way before she became a Rancic!), Ryan Seacrest, and Catt Sadler. So the moment we received the call to be invited to become E! hosts for Singapore Fashion Week 2015, it's an understatement to say that we were beyond ecstatic and simply thrilled. We immediately cleared our schedules for this golden opportunity (ovbviously)  and packed for a four day trip to Singapore.

What got us even more excited was when we were told we were to interview the one and only DIANE VON FURSTENBERG before she opened the show to fashion week! Can you believe that was the first thing we did for E! News Asia? Interview this legendary goddess / maker of the wrap dress?? Best believe we prepared for that interview to a T! Once we set up the interview backstage, Elizabeth and I waited patiently with our iconic E! microphone when she arrived so fabulously with her team. She greeted us so warmly I almost fainted, but thank goodness I kept my composure for our interview. It comensed and ended so abruptly, we didn't want it to end! Brittany, the winner of E!'s "House of DVF" also made a brief appearance, and we had a blast interviewing them both!

That magical first night didn't end there. We had a chance to do red carpet and interview various guests and celebrities making their way into the venue. Amongst others, we interviewed Utt (ex MTV VJ Utt, such a nice and humble guy) and Asia's Next Top Model judge Joey Mead King. Finally, after a night of interviews, we ended the evening watching DVF's opening show for SGFW.

Stay tuned for our second day of SGFW and E! news goodness coming soon!

ESCAPE AT LLOYD'S INN

We just came back from a whirlwind several days in Singapore for Singapore Fashion Week, and we could not have been more happier with the place we called home for those number of days.

We had two main things in mind when searching for a place to stay: (1) great central location (near the fashion week venue) & (2) it had to be photogenic/Instagramable (how else would we document our OOTD's?). Lloyd's Inn fits our criteria like a custom made cashmere glove! It's located on Lloyd Road, just two blocks away from Orchard Road and we loved the interior design of Lloyd's Inn with it's minimalist and contemporary approach making it a piece of cake to photograph.

Less is so much more at Lloyd's. With 34 rooms in total, we appreciated the fact that each room was designed just a bit differently (8 different ways to be exact), but all share the same aesthetic, which values the beauty of nature, light, space, comfort, and tranquility. Throughout our stay, we felt like we stepped into a green oasis, a safe abode away from the busy buzz of the city. In terms of our own room, we stayed in the premium Reading Room. It was the perfect size for two with an amazing view of lush greenery and we absolutely adored the big bay windows that showered in stunning natural light during the day.

Other perks: Lloyd's provide their guests with a 24/7 complimentary outdoor pantry/cafe area equipped with a coffee machine (drinks include cappuccino, teh tarik, and mocha) as well as a microwave to heat any frozen foods one might have stowed away, or to enjoy last night's leftover dinner. We highly enjoyed having our coffee in the morning or having a cup of teh tarik in the afternoon.

Another huge perk is the amazing staff! The moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm and friendly faces who no doubt were ready to help us if we ever needed anything throughout our stay. It was a joy coming back to the hotel from a long day and seeing their smiling faces greeting us from the reception. Shout out to Joan, Kelvin, Fara, Shahirah, Louis, Lisa, Hafidz, and Eric who made our stay that much more special.
